{RanDom cAtcH uP}

Time for another random catch up post!!  I hate getting so behind on my posts because then I have to do these random catch ups!!!

Maddix is finally liking nursery at church!  But with that being said, he still cries every time we leave him there....just for a minute and then he is fine!  And we have to leave him with a candy or a piece of gum....to allow us a chance to walk out the door without him following!  Last Sunday, I dropped him off in the nursery, then walked down the hall, turned the corner and started talking to someone.  Next thing I know....Maddix is running into my arms!  Ummm....hello....where did YOU come from?!?!  I guess he escaped and it was a minute before the nursery workers realized it!  We still can't believe that he can open that heavy nursery door!!

He loves his teachers and I love asking him what he learned about while we are on the way home each Sunday!  One Sunday, he told me he learned all about families....and he showed me in his picture who everyone was!  Ever since then, he says "thank you for families" in his prayers!!  So cute!!!

I love seeing this handsome boy in a tie!!

I have been meaning to video a prayer of his for a while now....it's so funny!!  Nobody else is allowed to say the prayer, according to Maddix!  He insists on saying EVERY SINGLE prayer in our household!  It drives Ayden crazy!!!

Sitting through sacrament is still quite the nightmare!!  And we can hardly ever make it through a sacrament meeting without having to take him in the hall!!  Maybe once every 10 times he will sit through the whole thing!  Lately he has been loving these sticker books that we used with Ayden when he was Maddix's age.....

And he loves to sing along during the songs!!  :)

Sometimes Maddix goes to work with me and helps me do my route!  He knows all the stops and he has his favorites....there's a water fountain stop, candy stops, books stop, toy stop, police car stop, elevator stop....but his all time favorite is the "baby elephant stop" in Dana Point!!  He really thinks this elephant is FOR REALS!!!  He talks to it, hugs it, and tries to feed it his snacks!  When we left that day, he asked if we could buy it!  HAHA!!  So funny!

When he gets mad, watch out.....

I know he is still young, but we wonder if he will be color blind!  He knows most all of his colors, but every single time he sees green, he calls it red!!!  Apparently, green & reds are easy to mix up when you are color blind!  When we tell him that it is actually green and not red, he gets SO MAD!!!  Hmmm....will be interesting to see....but we won't be surprised because color blindness is passed down from the mother and Maddix's birth mom's dad is color blind!

Always getting into something he shouldn't be....

Obsessed with the iPad....it amazes me how he knows all to well how to turn on electronic devices and maneuver his way through to find a game or whatever he wants to see!

This will be a fun wedding video pic some day.....

Maddix loves our crossing guard friend, Ms. Rita, that we get to see every morning on the way to school!!  Most mornings, on our way home from school, he holds her hand as we cross the street!!!  :)

This was 6:15 am one morning!  Backwards helmet, backwards baseball cleats, and a baseball bat....in his jammies!!!  Doesn't matter what time of day it is....this boy is ALWAYS ready for sports!!!

And he's got some moves too....check him out shaking his bum bum....

Hmmm....are we riding bikes, playing games on the phone....or trying to go potty?!?!  This is what potty training looks like when Daddy is in charge!!!

He loves going on this spinny thing when we go to the park....I kinda get a kick out of spinning him faster and faster.....and then watching him try to walk and fall down!!!  LOL!!

We got the "Frozen" movie the day it came out on video....

....and invited over some of Zoey's neighborhood friends to have a "Frozen" viewing party!!!  Jer was working from home that day and the funniest thing was when I turned around and say HIM sitting on the couch with all the girls watching the Princess movie!!!  HA!!

Zoey has become such a good reader this year!  She is into chapter books now and LOVES Junie B Jones!!  We find that sometimes the best time to squeeze in some reading time is during Ayden's baseball games!!  Killing 2 birds with 1 stone....

Zoey got to go to her very 1st dance....a Father/Daughter dance at school!!  She was so excited!!!  Daddy picked a flower from the backyard to put in her hair!  She looked forward to this night for months!!!

So cute!!!

My friend, Genn, texted me this pic....of the dads and girls walking to the dance together!!  :)  Adorable!

Zoey had her "Barnyard Moosical" performance at school and it was the CUTEST thing ever!!!!  Zoey was a little piggy and she was excited about that because it meant that she got to wear pink!!  :)

I spotted Ayden in the audience watching the musical with his class!  That was fun to see him there!  :)

A little video of the special musical number by the piggies....

Maddix was so proud of sissy and couldn't wait to give her a big hug!!  HA!  :)

Zoey and her friend London....

And her friend Savannah....

The whole class...

Her cheering section included Grammy Con & Grandma Brenda....

I love looking back at old pics of my kids!!!  6 month old babies with fatty round faces are the BEST!!!!

Had to capture this monumentus moment.....I took all 3 kids to see the new Disney Bears movie...all by MYSELF!!!  That is a big deal!!  The kids go to the movies ALL THE TIME....but never with me!  They always go with Daddy or Grammy!  I am not a fan of the movies at all....but every once in a blue moon, there is a movie I want to see!  So I was super proud of myself this day!!  And we ended up having a TON of fun!!!  :)

Maddix consumed more sugar during this movie than I would like to admit!!  Hey, it was the only thing that really kept him in his seat in our row!!  Whatever works!!!  :)

Seriously Zoey?!!?  Who sleeps like that!!!  We usually find Zoey like this 9 times out of 10 when we check on her each night before going to bed!!!  CRAZY!!!

Nothing cuter than my blue eyed big boy with a fresh haircut!!!  :)  Love it!!

We have some of the greatest next door neighbors!!!  They are so nice and are always sharing yummy delicious food that they cook with us!  They invited us over for snacks and Smores one night by their firepit!!  We should up and they presented this delicious spread!!!  YUM!!!!

The kids love going over and playing with their cute big dog, Murphie!!!  And making Smores is kinda fun too!!!  :)

Zoey's Kinder school pics.....

And Graduation pics!!!!  I cannot believe that she will be graduating Kinder in just a few weeks!!!  Ahhhh!!!!

Ayden's 2nd grade school pics....

This boy is totally into everything baseball these days!!!  This is quite normal for him to get home from school, strip down to his undies, plop himself on the couch with his baseball hat....and watch the movie The Sandlot!!!  :)

Speaking of the movie, The Sandlot, I was in the kitchen and heard some negotiating going on outside the kitchen window....I found Ayden trying to convince Zoey to play baseball with him!!  He was offering her his most prized possessions....she wasn't buying into the idea!!  Then he said, "Zoey, you're thinking about it too much....baseball is supposed to be fun"!!!  HA!!  A quote directly out of the movie....I think he has watched it a few too many times lately!!  :)

Grammy & Grandpa came over and we celebrated Grandpa's birthday!  Kids had fun singing and helping Grandpa blow out his birthday candles....

Phew!!!!  That was a long one!!!  Hopefully I can get my act together and stay on track with the blog again!!!

{EaSteR}

Just like other holidays/birthdays, Easter seemed to linger on for an entire week!  Grammy Con & Grandma Brenda came over mid week for Zoey's Barnyard Moosical performance at school!  They both brought Easter baskets for the kids....an early Easter surprise!!  Seriously....these are some lucky kids to have the BEST grandparents!!!

Zoey and Maddix opening their treats from Grammy Con.....

Now time for treats from Grandma Brenda....

Grandma Brenda gave oranges instead of candy and Maddix ran around with them calling them basketballs!!!  HA!!  :)

We colored Easter eggs on Saturday before Easter Sunday....we are usually in La Quinta for Easter or Spring Break, so I never have to handle this part because Grammy usually does it!!  The next door neighbor, Emma, was over, so we let her color eggs with us!

The kids wrote letters to the Easter Bunny and left him an egg.....

From Zoey....
"Hi EB.  The egg is for you.  I once I gave you a egg one year you told me that your name is ED or EV.  I can't remember.  Can you circle the one?  Love Zoey"

From Ayden...
"Hi Bunny!  This egg is for you.  I love the stuff you give me so I'm giving you the egg!"

Ayden wrote a letter from Maddix....
"Here Easter Bunny.  The egg is for you!"

The Easter Bunny hid a bunch of eggs around the house and the kids got to search for them when they woke up!  We have 9:00 am church, so there wasn't a ton of time in the morning!  The EB didn't leave any baskets until after church!  When we walked in the door from church, there were 3 baskets on the counter with treats inside!!  FUN!!!  :)

Drinking milk, on an egg hunt, wearing Jordan basketball shoes....

All ready for church in their Sunday best!!!!

So grateful to go to church and remember the REAL meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it!!  :)
