I love Halloween!!  This is my FAVORITE time of year!  But I have to admit, I am so glad this holiday is over!!  We have been celebrating Halloween for 5 days now!!!  And that is too long....even when you do love the holiday!!  It all started last Thursday when Zoe had a Halloween party with her preschool class.  She got to wear her costume....a bumble bee this year!  I was thrilled that she picked something OTHER than a princess this year!!  She has practically ever princess dress and wears them all the time for dress up/play time that it was fun to see something different!!

On Friday night, we had our ward Trunk-or-Treat at church!  Since Zoe was a bumble bee the day before, she decided she wanted to be Ariel for the ward party!!  So here is Ariel and our Great White Shark!!!  I was so happy with Ayden's costume too....I was getting tired of Star Wars costumes and Transformers!!!  YAY for warm, snuggly Old Navy costumes!!  :)

They really do LOVE each other!!  I remember when Ayden used to do this to Zoe and she would scream for him to let go!!  Now, she embraces the hug and gives one right back!!!  LoVe!!!

Maddix was just too tiny this year for a costume!!  We had the cutest warm and snuggly Old Navy lion costume that Ayden wore on his 1st Halloween....but he was 4 months at the time....instead of 3 weeks!!  Maddix still swims in ALL of his clothes!!  He didn't mind not having a costume on though....he enjoyed watching Ayden and Zoe in theirs!  :)

Princess Ariel posing for the camera.....

And the shark.....

On Saturday, my parents came to visit and spend the day with us for my birthday.  We were going to go to Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch since we weren't able to make it there this year, but decided it would be too crowded.  So we ended up at Tom's Farms!!  There was just enough to do and the kids had a blast!!  It was about 92 degrees that day!!  GROSS!!  Way too hot for fall and Halloween!!  I am all about California weather, but when it is time for a change of seasons, I don't like the HOT weather sticking around!!

Grammy and her two little pilgrims.....

Mommy and her two little pumpkins......

....and the 3rd little pumpkin is snoozing away in the stroller.....

Grammy and Grandpa took the kids on the train ride......

Jeremiah and I stayed behind with Maddix and Jeremiah met a new friend.....

Here they come.....back from their adventure....

Grammy and Grandpa gave them tickets....

Ayden went on the tractors....

Zoe on the carousel....

And when I saw these next 2 pictures, I couldn't believe how LONG Zoe's hair looked!!  It is growing like a weed now!!!  :)  YAY!!!!

And curlier than ever.....

Grammy and Zoe went in the petting zoo to feed the baby goats.  Ayden didn't want to go in!  I think he had enough of them this year since he did that during our 2 trips to the pumpkin patch!!

The baby goats were the cutest.  Jeremiah wanted to take one home....ummmm, not THAT cute!!!  Zoe kept finding the baby ones to give her food to....

Since Grammy had the cup of food, the goats were attacking her.....these things acted like they hadn't eaten in DAYS!!!

After Tom's Farms, we headed to my favorite, Cheesecake Factory, to celebrate my birthday!!  It was a delicious meal.....we had my favorite appetizers, Avocado Egg Rolls, and therefore, there was no room left for dessert at the end!!!  :(  No cheesecake this time!!

On Saturday night, we had a Halloween party to go to and 5 minutes before we left, Jeremiah decided to put on his bike clothes (as if he doesn't wear them enough every other day) and glue a stick in his bike helmet with blood on it to make it look like he crashed into a tree!!  Crazy!!  So I was the only one left without a costume.....I almost wore my jammies and said I was just a tired mom adjusting to life with 3 kids!!  :)

On Sunday, we went to Jeremiah's parents house to celebrate my birthday and Jeremiah's brother, Kirt's birthday!  Jeremiah's mom wanted us to wear costumes.....I was the tired mom again and the kids put their costumes on for the 4th day in a row!!!

Aunt Steph, who was dressed as Where's Waldo, is scared of babies.  She finally got brave enough to hold Maddix, so we had to capture the moment....

Pumpkin carving time.....

Photography by Ayden.....

When I saw how large the pumpkins were that Jeremiah and Kirt were carving, I got the idea to put Maddix INSIDE the pumpkin!!!  This was his costume for the year....he was a little pumpkin!!!  :)

At first, he wasn't in love with the idea....he was just starting to fall asleep right before we put him inside, so I am sure the gooeyness of the inside wasn't the best feeling!!  Here he is saying, "GET ME OUTTA HERE"!!!!!

And then we popped in the binky....and all was well!!  After the binky went in, we realized he could've stayed in there for days!!!!  He LOVED it!!!  :)

He even fell asleep.....ahhhh.....to be so young again and able to sleep anywhere.....

After a delicious dinner, we had one of my favorite desserts.....chocolate souffle!!!  Mmmmmm......

Here are the 2 little pumpkins that Ayden and Zoe brought to carve....

Finally the end of our busy weekend looked like this......

But the fun wasn't over yet.....we still had the MAIN event....Halloween night!!  Ayden got to wear his costume to school and had a Halloween party all day at school!!!  Lots and lots and lots of sugar!!  We went to Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Gary's house to go trick or treating.

Debuting......the little bumble bee.....

And the Great White Shark.....whose costume was now getting quite dirty!!!

Our family of 5!!  We have taken a Halloween picture in front of this thing for the past 3 years!!  I love to see how our family has changed (and now grown) over the years!!!

Halloween 2011....

Halloween 2010.....

Halloween 2009....

Halloween 2008.....

Maddix slept through out entire walk around the neighborhood.  He was so warm and bundled that he didn't miss a thing....

Can't believe that next year he will be running around trying to keep up with this two....

An up close pick of Zoe the Bumble Bee....

And Ayden the Shark....

And when Mommy had taken enough pictures, they were off.....

We didn't make it very far.....only a few streets and Ayden asked if we could go home now.  They both were complaining that their bags were too heavy and they had plenty of candy!!  BORING!!!  Jeremiah and I wanted to stay out and play, but we decided to call it a night!  We went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for chili and Ayden and Zoe enjoyed passing out candy to the rest of the trick-or-treaters!!

Phew.....I am exhausted!!  Like I said, I am glad that we have Halloween under our belts!!!!  Until next year....
