It's so fun to see the 3 of them interact together....Maddix definitely isn't deprived from any attention in this house!!!  :)

{5 mOntHs oLd}

You are 5 months old and growing like a weed!!  You are growing out of your toys.....when we put you in your bouncy seat, it bottoms out!!  You are growing out all of your clothes....I am ready to pull out all of our 12-18 month clothes because most of the 6-12 month things just don't fit anymore!  It's a bummer that you are growing so fast that there are some clothes you don't even get to wear because there aren't enough days in the week!!  You had to go to the doc at 5 months cuz you were sick and you weighed 20 lbs 11 oz!  GIANT!!   

You are a giant baby....everyone we met comments on it.....Mommy's aching back confirms it....and the amount of formula that you are putting down every day makes it all make sense!!  When you turned 4 months, we were excited to start rice cereal....with as big as you are, we assumed you would gobble it all up!  Not the case....you hate rice cereal....and you hated it a week later and a week later and a week later and you STILL hate it!  So we have since moved on to vegetables when you turned 5 months and so far sweet potatoes is the only one you can eat without gagging!  You are eating 4 8 oz bottles a day now and finally don't need a bottle at night anymore.....but that doesn't mean you are sleeping through the night yet!  You tricked us though....because the day you turned 4 months, you slept through the night....and did so for 3 straight weeks!!  We thought we were in heaven!!  It was so nice to get a full nights sleep again!  But then.....something happened and you started waking up somewhere between 5 and 20 times a night!!  CRAZY!!  Not sure what wakes you up....teething we think!!  And you have definitely had your share of colds so far too....so being congested at night surely doesn't help with sleeping through the night!  But at least you go to bed around 7:30 pm and sleep til 7 or 7:30 am!  We're still working on the napping schedule though....I guess when you are the 3rd baby in the family and we run around as much as we do, a napping schedule doesn't really exist! 

You love yourself and it is so fun to stick you in front of the mirror....you immediately smile and laugh and "talk" to the baby in the mirror!  You don't really love your binky, but you are definitely becoming a blankie baby!  The blankie soothes you more than a binky does and if you are fussy, we just have to put the binky in front of you, you pull it to your face and stop crying!  It is amazing...works like a charm!

Sitting up like a big boy....you are getting more balanced and love to sit up and see the world in a whole new light!  :)

There's always a finger in your mouth.....we're all waiting for those teeth to pop through!!

Between the drool from teething and all the spit up, your clothes are soaked by the end of the day and you usually go through about 6 bibs a day....no joke!!

This is what you love to do with your blankie.....you pull it to your face and snuggle it to you....biting it and snuggling it!

At bedtime, the necessities for you are blankie, binky and your puppy, Barker!  Here you are giving Barker a kiss....

And here you look like a puppy yourself!  :)

It was cold one morning when you went walking with Mommy.....you got to get bundled up with a beanie!  Big boy in your carseat....

My favorite is when you are on your tummy and lift up....I just love your face!!!  :)

And 1 split second later....BARF!!!  Story of our life....you are like a faucet....the spit up just seems to overflow from your mouth....

You are taking baths in the big bath now and LOVE to take baths with big brother!!  Mommy was filling the tub one day and you stood by yourself on the outside of the tub for at least 5 minutes all by yourself!!  Such a strong baby....

 

Happy 5 months to you!  I can't wait til next month.....6 months to 9 months is my FAVORITE baby stage!!!
