{sOcCeR.....the END!!!}

Yesterday was Ayden's last day of soccer!! I'm not sure if he is as sad as I am about this because I don't think he realizes that he won't be going back next week! I have been waiting forever for him to be old enough to start playing sports and have really enjoyed watching him every week! He has really gotten better and better each week! I really want to do a summer session just to keep him going strong!
Before soccer practice, we met our good friends, Robin and Diego at the Farmers Market. They have a fun fountain there for the kids to play in. Unfortunately, this was a last minute get together, so I didn't come prepared for my kids to get soaking wet!! As soon as we got there, Ayden took off his shoes and starting stripping down! I took off his shirt and told him not to get his shorts wet because we had to go to soccer practice right after. I turned around for one second and the next thing I know, he is stripping down to his bare bum!! he thought a good solution for not getting his shorts wet was to take them and his undies off!! Silly!! He kept his shorts on and got soaked!! I realize that telling him to not get wet is like telling a kid to not eat that bowl of ice cream that is sitting right in front of them....YEAH RIGHT!!! =) So he got soaked....and Zoe wanted to! I stripped her down to her diaper...in public....in good ol' white trash fashion and let her explore! Once again....if she was walking, she could have run through the fountain like Ayden and Diego were doing!! And if she was walking, her hands wouldn't have been on the ground and she probably wouldn't have gotten stung by a bee!! Yes, poor Zoe got her first bee sting yesterday! She started crying hysterically and then I saw a bee on the ground and knew what had happened! The stinger was actually still in her thumb...it was so sad!! Robin helped me pull it out....I don't handle things like that very well, so it was nice to have someone there to keep me calm!! =)

Zoe....this is the beginning of a tantrum that she was going to throw before I took her clothes off and let her get wet!

Soccer pics...the boys listening to Coach Tori! These 3 boys are what is left of the soccer "team"! After 8 weeks, these are the 3 that stuck it out to the end....only the strong survive!! =)

Ayden made an ice cream cone with a soccer ball and a cone....then he had to taste it to see what flavor it was!!!

Here is the proof....finally in pictures....that Zoe is capable of stnading!! She will stand like this for a couple of minutes and will even take a step or two!!

Is this our next soccer star in the family?!?!!?

After practice, I got a couple pictures of Ayden and Daddy (being silly) since this was "Daddy and Me" soccer!! I think Jeremiah looked forward to and enjoyed Thursdays just as much as Ayden did! It will be fun when Ayden is 3 1/2 and can start playing soccer on his own!

Here is our soccer stud in action....

This is Ayden's favorite part....the cheer at the very end! I finally got it on video and he didn't even say anything! Little stinker!! They say "Kids Love Soccer"!! He says this at least 3 times a day and wants everyone to huddle in for the cheer!

And I also got this great video....which shows what a STUBBORN little girl Miss Zoe is!! This video is perfect. Grandma was just trying to get her to walk...but it wasn't Zoe's idea...so she had a MAJOR MELTDOWN!!! I especially love when she puts her arms straight up when you are trying to lift her!! Ha!! Payback.....my mom says that I was the EXACT same way!! Sorry Mom!! =) (This video needs to be flipped, but I couldn't figure it out & didn't want to wait for Jeremiah to fix it)!!! =)

{oUr FuN wEeKeNd}

We had a really fun Memorial weekend at my parents cabin in Big Bear. Every year, my family goes for Memorial weekend and we haven't been here the past 5 years, so it was really great to be here this year. But we did determine that it is still a little early in the year to be boating and swimming in Big Bear Lake! It was a little chilly....in fact, there was still snow on the mountains! But we did have a great time! And my kids had a great time...they love it up there! I'm so excited to go as much as we can all summer long!
The first thing they did on Friday night when we got there was find the toys and drag them ALL out!!

And then they had to check out all the fun trinkits at the cabin....Mr. Moose and the singing fishy are their favorites!! I wish I got a picture of Ayden with the fish....he loves to push the button and sing the fishy song...."Take me to the river, Put me in the water....."!!

On Saturday, my brother and his family arrived! Ayden and Zoe are always excited to see their cousins! I love this picture of Zoe....she looks like such a big girl standing up on her cute little flip flops! I keep telling her that she is going to be so cute when she finally starts walking!! Here she is watching her cousins play outside on the dock...wishing she could go out too!! But I couldn't let her out because the deck was scalding hot and would've burned her little hands and knees! Once again, I told her how much more fun life is going to be when she walks! She's not listening to me...can you tell that she is stubborn?!?!?!

Awwww.....so sad!!!

Grandpa usually has the boat in the water by this weekend, but they have been busy and didn't get a chance to get it in yet! Ayden and Zoe had a blast getting in the boat while it was still in the driveway!! Poor Zoe...this was her only time in the boat all weekend! Grammy was nice enough to stay at the cabin and babysit so Mommy could enjoy some time in the sun!!

Ayden taking a jump....last year, he loved jumping off the boat into the water!! Hopefully the water will warm up soon so he can show off his swimming skills!!

The captain of the ship....Grandpa!!!

Getting ready to go for our first boat ride of the year!!

Grandpa's popcorn machine is always a big hit at the cabin! This was the first and last time that we have made popcorn inside....the kids made a HUGE mess!! There was popcorn EVERYWHERE!!! =)

All the boys went fishing...and I tagged along to get some sun! Ayden was pretty good, but let's just say fishing is not for a 2 year old!! Ayden was so impatient and asked every 5 seconds if a fish had taken a bite of his fishing pole yet! He was getting so mad that the fish weren't coming! Nobody caught anything this time...the highlight of the trip might have been when Carter hooked Cooper in the face when he was casting his pole!! It was like a scene out of the movies! Poor Cooper!!

Really.....could this girl PLEASE start walking soon!!! I plead with her EVERY day! I have even tried bribing her!! The cabin is the worst possible place for a crawler!! Especially right now since the backyard is all torn up....it will be so nice when it is all redone in a couple weeks and there is no dirt!! For the most part, we had to carry her around and she couldn't get down to play with all the kids! But we finally gave in and let her down and she was FILTHY!!!! She didn't seem to mind one bit....she likes the taste of dirt I think!! And baths are her favorite....so why not get dirty?!?!? I know Mom and Dad will give me a bath if I get dirty!! Ugh....no motivation whatsoever to walk!!! =)

Daddy and Ayden went for a bike "race"! Ayden loves riding bikes with his Daddy! And any time Jeremiah is going for a ride, he has to take Ayden on a little bike "race" first! They looked so cute!

We had a great weekend! We love just hanging out and being with family at the cabin!! Can't wait for many more weekends there this summer!! Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for putting up with the chaos to let us all enjoy the cabin!! =)
