This week, last year, Ayden became a man.....shaving and wearing deodorant just like his Daddy!!!  :)

 

{HapPy 7tH biRthDay aYdeN}

I think I'm gonna say this from here on out for every birthday, but #7 just seems like a big deal!  He's getting so old!!  Seven seems SO big!!  I think part of the reason that seven seems so old to me is because in my own life, that is when I really have memories from.....it's scary to know that your kids are at an age where they are going to really start having memories that will impact the rest of their lives!!

We had been counting down your birthday for weeks!!  When you went to bed the night before, you were all sad because you thought we weren't going to decorate for you and that we didn't get you any presents!  Luckily Mommy pulled it off to make you wake up surprised!  Your bedroom was toilet papered, there were balloons and signs in the kitchen, a birthday cake waiting for you on the counter....right next to your presents!  :)

Do you see that clock on the wall in the background??  Yep, this was at 6:30 am.....all presents opened and we sang Happy Birthday 3 times ALL before 7:00 am!!  That's how we roll at our house!!  :-/

Legos are the BEST gift ever....they keep you busy and entertained for a good 3 hours!!!  :)  I keep saying over and over....if we just had a lego factory in our house, we would all be happier!!

We sang happy birthday 1st thing when you woke up, then sang it again to blow out the candle on your bday cake.....and then a 3rd time for breakfast waffles!!  :)  You can never have "happy birthday to you" sung too many time to you on your birthday, right?!?!

We had lunch at home and then went to Farrell's for dessert!  You were disappointed that the balloon guy wasn't there....and you also didn't like the bday song they sang you!!  :(  So good thing the ice cream was tasty, or you would've been pretty mad!!

After Farrell's, we waited for Daddy to get off work so that we could head up to Big Bear for our 12 day vacation!!!  WOOHOO!!!

And of course my favorite thing about birthdays is to look back at how much you have changed over the years!  However, with you, you really do look so much the same as you always have!!  HA!

I love that for your 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th birthday pictures, you are shirtless!!  HA!  That is pretty much the story of your life.....you love to have your clothes off and aren't embarrassed at all to run outside in your undies!!  :)

This week, last year.......SWIMMING LESSONS!!!!  Can't wait for them again in a couple weeks!!

We also had a princess bday party celebrating a little 4 year old princess!!  The party was 2 months after her bday, but it was the best this Mommy could do since we moved the week of her real bday!!!

And did all the girls makeup!!!  :)

Ayden was beside himself with so many girls in our house at one time....he spied on them through the window from the backyard....

Maddix was as rolly polly as ever!!!  Holy fatness!!!  :)

 

{LoVin' SuMmeR}

Summer is in full swing and we have been busier than ever!!  We've completed 3 weeks of summer already and have hardly been bored!!  I have a feeling that in 6 weeks when it's time to get ready for back to school I am going to say, "where did our summer go?!?!?"

I took the kids to our favorite summer spot last weekend because Jeremiah had to go to a campout for scouts!  I helped my dad get the bought all cleaned up and ready to put in the water and Grandpa hired the kids to rake up the dead pine needles and bag them for $1 a bag!  Ayden did most of the work and was sweating up a storm by the end of it!  He was determined to earn enough money for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toy he's been eyeballing!!  Oh boy....that kid and his impulsive desire to spend every penny he ears the second he ears it!!  :(  We are working on that!!

He worked for a good hour or two and ended up bagging 9 big black yard bags with help from Grammy!!  He was excited to earn his $9 from Grandpa and was ecstatic when Grandpa handed over a $20 bill!!  :)

Zoey had craft time with Grammy....

And a trip to Big Bear wouldn't be complete without a trip to the North Pole for a sweet treat!!

We've learned that all 3 kids need to order their own Root Beer Floats next time since they always end up stealing Grammy's!!!

On Saturday, Zoey and I got to go see the Little Mermaid play with a bunch of little friends and their Mommies!!  We all met for lunch at one of the girl's houses before heading off to the play!

We had a very quiet Father's Day since Jeremiah's parents were out of town and we saw my parents earlier in the weekend.  We went to church and hung out at home.....and this was the best pic I could get of the little loves and their Daddy!!!

The other day I was sitting on the couch while Zoey and Ayden were watching TV!  I just stared at them and couldn't believe how much they look alike!  Seriously.....how could they have so many features that are so similar when they came from completely different people!!  The hair color, those noses, the lips, the profile.....It is amazing to me!!

We've been going to the park in the evenings after dinner lately and it has been so great to let the kids (and the dog) run around and wear themselves out before bedtime!!  They all love it!!

Ayden bought a kite at Target....and then got it stuck in a tree!!  :)

The kids have been BEGGING me to have a lemonade stand!  I am not a fan, so I didn't help in any way and this is what they came up with!!  They cut out their own cardboard box table top, placed it on top of a full garbage can from the garage, and then sat at the curb and waited for customers!!  They decided on a price by themselves......just $2 a cup!  HA!  I was shocked that they sold a couple glasses!!  He's a cute kid, but this is a pretty ghetto lemonade stand.....not sure if I would buy from it or not!!!  :)  Now they want to do this EVERY SINGLE DAY!!
